克莱斯勒 PT漫步者
在2009年克莱斯勒破产并被菲亚特收购之前克莱斯勒在中国曾有过三家合资公司：
第一家是北汽-戴姆勒，1984年北京汽车制造厂与“美国汽车公司（American Motors Corporation amc）”合资成立“北京吉普汽车有限公司（BJC）”，生产jeep牌越野车。1987年8月，戴姆勒克莱斯勒收购amc，原jeep项归到了克莱斯勒旗下；
此后的1998年，克莱斯勒与德国戴姆勒-奔驰公司合并，成立奔驰-戴姆勒·克莱斯勒；其为了拓展亚洲市场，在2000年3月至2001年4月期间通过收购股份最终成为三菱汽车最大股东，同时与现代、双龙达成了相关合作协议。之后，克莱斯勒方面相继生产了吉普之星、Jeep4700/4000、三菱帕杰罗速跑（2003年3月14日）、Jeep2500、三菱欧蓝德（2004年1月10日）等5款车型。
第二家是北京奔驰-戴姆勒·克莱斯勒（BBDC），2004年10月，北汽与戴-克完对原北京吉普进行重组并停产切诺基，同时将公司更名为“北京奔驰-戴姆勒·克莱斯勒汽车有限公司”(BBDC)。随后，克莱斯勒通过BBDC投产了克莱斯勒300C、克莱斯勒铂锐、赛百灵。然而，克莱斯勒的持续亏损最终让戴姆勒于2007年8月3日把克莱斯勒出售给美国私募基金Cerberus公司；而随着戴姆勒与克莱斯勒的分手，2008 年，BBDC也被拆分，克莱斯勒被迫退出中国市场。

2007年2月9日的时候PT漫步者曾以进口车身份进入国内进行销售，定价为23.58万元，然而事实证明了克莱斯勒又走了一部烂棋。这种美式复古车在中国根本就没有市场!

Chrysler PT Cruiser
Chrysler had three joint ventures in China before bankruptcy and acquired by Fiat in 2009.
The first was BAIC-Daimler. In 1984, Beijing Automobile Factory and AMC(American Motors Corporation) established "Beijing Jeep Co., LTD . (BJC)", producing Jeep vehicles. In August 1987, Daimler-Chrysler acquired AMC, the original Jeep division under Chrysler control;
Later in 1998, Chrysler merged with Benz-Daimler. From March 2000 to April 2001, in order to expand the Asian market , BD-C became the largest shareholder of Mitsubishi Motors by acquiring shares , at the same times BDC make a cooperation agreement with Hyundai and Ssangyong. Since then, Chrysler has produced five new models in BJC, including the Jeep-Star, Jeep4700/4000, Mitsubishi Pajero (March 14, 2003), Jeep2500, and Mitsubishi Outlander (January 10, 2004).
The second was Beijing Benz Daimler Chrysler (BBDC). In October 2004, Beijing Auto and Daimler-Chrysler restructured the Beijing Jeep Company and discontinued the Jeep Cherokee. At the same time, the company was renamed "Beijing Benz DaimlerChrysler Automotive Co., LTD." (BBDC). Later, Chrysler launched and made the Chrysler 300C, Chrysler Borui(), and Sebring through the BBDC tunnel. However, Chrysler's large losses led Daimler to sell Chrysler to Cerberus eventually, on August 3, 2007; As Daimler-Benz and Chrysler broke up, BBDC was split up in 2008, and Chrysler was withdraw from the China market.

On February 9, 2007, the PT Cruiser entered the market as an imported car, priced at 235,800 Yuan, but proved to be another bad action by Chrysler. There is no market for such American retro cars in China!
