毕加索系列车型首次亮相是在1998年10月的巴黎国际车展上,一年后的1999年雪铁龙公司正式开始量产。 截止到2022年4月21日雪铁龙正式宣布停产,其总共生产了三代车型,而这三代都曾引进到国内。

1999年雪铁龙推出紧凑型MPV—Xsara Picasso,在1999-2012年间创造了176万辆的销售奇迹。这款车型也由东风雪铁龙引入国产,并将其命名为萨拉·毕加索。
In 1999 Citroen launched a compact MPV-Xsara Picasso, which saled 1.76 million units from 1999 to 2012. This model is also introduced by Dongfeng-Citroen, and named 萨拉·毕加索(chinese transliteration Xsara Picasso).

随着该车系的成功,雪铁龙在2006年以PSA-2平台推出了C4 PICASSO,并同时增加七座版本——Grand C4 PICASSO,2009年东风雪铁龙开始进口7座车型(该车有5座、7座两个版本,东风雪铁龙只进口了7座版),并将其命名为大C4毕加索。
With the success , Citroen launched C4 PICASSO on the PSA-2 platform in 2006, and added a 7-seat version -- Grand C4 PICASSO. In 2009, Dongfeng-Citroen began to import the 7-seat model (there are two versions of this car - 5 seat and 7 seat, but Dongfeng-Citroen only imported the 7-seat version),and called it 大C4毕加索 .

2013年4月,雪铁龙旗下发布了C4 PICASSO系列的第二代车型,第二代使用的是最新的EMP2平台,该车全系搭载1.6T发动机,有推出了5座和7座两个版本,东风雪铁龙同时进口了5座版和7座版。
In April 2013, Citroen released the second generation of C4 PICASSO series. The second generation uses the EMP2 platform, which series equipped with 1.6T engine. There are two versions-5 seat and 7 seat, and Dongfeng-Citroen imported both of them.
